Terms of use

The deal between you and Airframe. It is run by one person, and this is written the same way: plain English, describing what actually happens.

Last changed 6 September 2026.

The short version

Post your own aviation photos. Keep the rights to them. Don't post other people's work. Everything is looked at by a person before it appears. You can leave, and take everything with you, whenever you like.

Who may use it

Your photos stay yours

You keep every right to everything you upload. Nothing you post is sold, licensed to anybody, or handed to another website.

By adding a photo you allow Airframe to store it and show it on the site, and to use it in the site's own posts about itself, such as a photo of the day shared somewhere. Nothing beyond that. That permission ends when you delete the photo, and deleting takes the original file with it.

Only post photos you took, or ones you have permission to post. Not something you found online, and not a friend's photo without asking.

If a photo here is yours and shouldn't be, the copyright page says how to have it taken down, and there's a Report link on every photo that reaches Jack directly. An account that repeatedly posts other people's work is closed. Not warned indefinitely: doing it more than once is a decision rather than a mistake.

What belongs here

Aviation, broadly, and there is one rule: is there an aircraft in it? The About page has the detail. There is no quality bar and there never will be.

Not allowed, and removed when found:

Review, and what happens if something goes wrong

Every public photo is looked at before it appears. What it's looked for is set out in What gets a photo accepted. If one isn't accepted you are told why, and you can send it again up to 3 times, which is there for the times it was refused by mistake.

An account that keeps breaking these rules can be suspended, which stops it signing in and changes nothing else, or removed, which deletes it and everything in it. Removal is for the serious cases and the persistent ones. If you think a decision was wrong, say so and it will be looked at again by a person.

Paying

Looking at photos is free and always will be, and so is keeping a logbook. A paid plan raises how much you can store, and nothing else. Paying and refunds covers cancelling, refunds and who takes the money.

Where you are, and where Airframe is

Airframe is run from Michigan, in the United States, and American law applies to it. If something ever needed settling in a court, that is where it would be.

That is a statement of fact rather than an attempt to take anything from you. Where the law where you live gives you rights this page doesn't, you keep them, and you can always bring something in your own country's courts if your law says so.

What this site does not promise

Airframe is small, new, and run by one person in their spare time. It is not a guaranteed service. It may be down sometimes, it may lose things, and it may change. Keep your own copies of your photos. That is good advice for any website and honest advice here.

Nothing here takes away rights you have where you live. Where your local law gives you more than this page does, your local law wins.

Leaving

You can close your account yourself, from your account page, without asking anybody. It takes the account, every photo in it, the files themselves, and everything you've liked, saved and logged. Export your logbook first if you want to keep it. It cannot be undone.

If this page changes

Anything that materially affects you will be said on the site rather than quietly edited in here, and the date at the top will change.
